Go Dawgs! You could have been the Goats! That was the first mascot in 1892, Whew! The University of Georgia was founded in 1785 and claims the title as one of three universities as the oldest public universities in the U.S. Georgia’s North campus is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The buildings are in the architectural theme of Federal, Classical and Antebellum. Tradition maintains the UGS’s oldest permanent building, Old College, is modeled on Yale University’s Connecticut Hall. The legend for The Arch at the main entrance is that if an undergraduate walks thru it they will not graduate.

The buildings in the UGA scene are The Chapel, The Arch, The academic Building and the President’s House. The bell in the Chapel is rung after every winning football game.

Students have fond memories of their time on campus making this a great gift for recent graduates, supportive past alumni and fans of all ages. Let the memories begin!

Your school’s artwork was created by hand using pen, ink, and watercolor. The paper is hand cut and layered to give the work a creative three-dimensional appeal. The image is 3.5” x 12.5” and is framed with a maroon/white mat in a 9” x 18” quality, black metal frame.
