West Point

West Point, Army, The Academy, or The Point, overlooks the Hudson River. The whole central campus is a national landmark and is the oldest continuously operating Army post in the United States.

The buildings depicted are Thayer Gate, Washington Hall, Cadet Chapel, and Trophy Point. The Cadet Chapel is an example of Neo-Gothic architecture as are most buildings in the “central area” or “the cadet area.” Washington Hall, built from gray and black granite, overlooks “The Plain.” Trophy Point is one of the most visited and scenic sites on the post.
