Pennsylvania State University has a mission of teaching, research, and public service. Penn State’s University Park is almost entirely within the boundaries of the State College, a site chosen because it is near the geographic center of the state. The Nittany Lions are the school’s athletic teams that continue to grow and excel each year.

The buildings depicted are the Nittany Lion Inn, Nittany Lion Shrine, Old Main, and the Pavilion Theatre. Old Main is the first building of major significance on campus. It was completed in 1867 with the current building completed in 1930. Crafted from Indiana limestone, the Nittany Lion Shrine was sculpted by Heinz Wameke.

Your school’s artwork was created by hand using pen, ink, and watercolor. The paper is hand cut and layered to give the work a creative three-dimensional appeal. The image is 3.5” x 12.5” and is framed with a blue/white mat in a 9” x 18” quality, black metal frame.
