University of North Carolina
Chapel Hill, UNC, or just Carolina, was one of the original eight “Public Ivy Schools.” It was chartered in 1789 which allows it to be one of three schools to claim the title of the oldest public university in the United States.
The buildings depicted in the Tar Heel artwork are the Bell tower, Wilson Library, South, the Old Well, and Morehead Planetarium. Watching over the campus, the Bell Tower chimes on the quarter hour. Seniors have the opportunity to climb the tower a few days before commencement. The Old Well is a symbol for UNC.
UNC delights in its history, academics, and athletics making this a unique gift for recent graduates, past alumni, and fans of all ages. Continue making memories!
Your school’s artwork was created by hand using pen, ink, and watercolor. The paper is hand cut and layered to give the work a creative three-dimensional appeal. The image is 3.5” x 12.5” and is framed with a Carolina blue/white mat in a 9” x 18” quality, black metal frame.
