University of Colorado
The cornerstone of “Old Main” was laid in 1875 and the university officially opened in 1877. The University of Colorado at Boulder was founded five months before Colorado was admitted into the Union. CU-Boulder is considered one of 30 “Public Ivy League” schools. The distinctive architectural style of the buildings on campus is known as Tuscan Vernacular Revival. The older buildings such as “Old Main” and Macky Auditorium were built in the Collegiate Gothic Style of many East Coast Schools. The buildings depicted in the University of Colorado at Boulder scene are Hale, Guggenheim, Old Main, and Macky.
Students have fond memories of their time on campus making this a great gift for recent graduates, supportive past alumni and fans of all ages. Let the memories begin! Your school’s artwork is created using archival inks and paper and framed in a high quality, black, metal frame. The frame measures 18 inches wide x 9 inches tall.
