Before the Air Force Academy was founded in 1954 Charles Lindbergh flew over the proposed site in Colorado Springs and declared it fit for flying. When you pass by the Academy there is always planes and gliders in the air. The Cadet Chapel at the Air Force Academy is one of the most popular man-made attractions in Colorado. The most striking aspects of the Chapel is its row of 17 spires and its dedication to all religious beliefs.
