University of South Alabama

$75.00

In the late 1960’s the University of South Alabama had a live Jaguar that lived on campus. The school officials rethought this however when the animal got out and roamed around the campus. South Alabama “got their Jaguar back” in 2009 when it got it’s first football team by that name. USA, as it is affectionately called, is located in the beautiful historic town of Mobile, Alabama. It was started in 1963 and is one Alabama’s first research and medical schools. The school is often know as USA which they proudly display in their school colors of red, white, and blue.

The buildings depicted in the artwork for USA are Mitchell Center, Moulton Bell Tower, Alumni House, Meisler Hall, Tholos and the Library. The Tholos is a replica of the tholos that served as part of the sanctuary of the Greek goddess Athena. The marble was cut and by artisans in Greece.

Students have fond memories of their time on campus making this a great gift for recent graduates, supportive past alumni and fans of all ages. Let the memories begin!

Your school’s artwork was created by hand using pen, ink, and watercolor. The paper is hand cut and layered to give the work a creative three-dimensional appeal. The image is 3.5” x 12.5” and is framed with a blue/white mat in a 9″ x 18″ quality, black metal frame.
