The University of Alabama is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. “Roll Tide” got its name by the football team running onto the field which looked like the tide rolling in. The University of Alabama scene contains the Gorcas House, Denny Chimes, Manly Hall, Woods Hall, Clark Hall, and the President’s Mansion.
The Gorgas House was built in 1829 and was the first structure on campus. It is one of the buildings that survived the Civil War. The President’s Mansion at Alabama is located across from Denny Chimes in the heart of campus on University Boulevard. The house is a fine example of Greek Revival Architecture. It was saved from destruction in 1865 by Mrs. Louisa Francis Garland, wife of the third university President. The University of Alabama President lives on the third floor while the first two floors are used for gatherings and receptions.
Students have fond memories of their time on campus making this a great gift for recent graduates, supportive past alumni and fans of all ages. Let the memories begin!
