University of Wisconsin
The University of Wisconsin is located about a mile from the state capitol in Madison. The Sconnies can be seen wearing their red and white striped overalls as they cheer on the Badgers, or gathering at the Terrace to have a Rathskeller Ale and enjoy the view of Lake Mendota.
The buildings depicted are Washburn Planetarium, Bascom Hall, Memorial Union, and the Red Gym. Bascom Hall is often considered “the heart of the campus.” Built in 1857, a decorative dome once sat on top but was destroyed by fire in 1916. The Memorial Union was built in 1928 to honor WWI veterans. It is a popular spot for socializing students and those who enjoy gazing at Lake Mendota and sailboats. The Red Gym was built in 1894 as an armory and gym.
University of South Carolina delights in its history, academics, and athletics making this a unique gift for recent graduates, past alumni, and fans of all ages. Continue making memories!
