$75.00

The University of South Carolina was established in an effort to unite South Carolinians during the American Revolution. South Carolina’s sports teams, the Gamecocks, were named after Revolutionary War hero Thomas Sumter and his nickname, “Carolina Gamecock.” The athletics program has soared over the years and has a large and loyal fan base.

The buildings depicted are located in The Horseshoe and are the South Caroliniana Library, Maxcy Monument, McKissick Museum, Lieber College, and Longstreet Theatre. The South Caroliniana Library is the first freestanding academic library in the U.S. Named for the first president of the University, Jonathan Maxcy, the Maxcy Monument was designed by Robert Mills. Longstreet Theatre was originally intended to be a chapel and was used as an arsenal and military hospital during the Civil War.

University of South Carolina delights in its history, academics, and athletics making this a unique gift for recent graduates, past alumni, and fans of all ages. Relive the memories!

Your school’s artwork was created by hand using pen, ink, and watercolor. The paper is hand cut and layered to give the work a creative three-dimensional appeal. The image is 3.5” x 12.5” and is framed with a garnet/black mat in a 9” x 18” quality, black metal frame.
